Spot The Difference

Since I was a child, I liked those games where you get two pictures that appear similar, and have to find the small subtle differences. Here's my take on this old chestnut.

Today's Daily Express front page:

A recent BNP demo outside Lunar House (HQ of the UK border agency):

And, finally, more BNP idiots in Dover:

How interesting that a national newspaper should directly quote the slogan of a racist party. Right down to the superfluous "up" at the end. And, of course, the fact that it's patently false doesn't help.

A cynical person might see this headline, and think that this supposedly great historic media organisation was actually run by a shower of small-minded idiots. For example.

UPDATE I see that the ever-excellent Tabloid Watch beat me to it.

  1. In no way does the eviction of the 'Jungle' residents remind me of District 9.

  2. I know what you mean. I'm not sure what was more harrowing - watching those people get violently evicted by the French police, or the rabid tabloid baying on this side of the Channel.

It seems to be a major part of the Mail/Express agenda to demonise immigrants of any kind (especially the brown ones) so that they are eventually considered sub-human.

And then what happens? They get abused, assaulted, and in some cases murdered. Nice.

  3. Another example - this time the Daily Mail - as written by Sunny Hundal (of Liberal Conspiracy):

  4. But Doug, why keep Posh out? She won't take up much space.
